Linda
Goldfarb, President
Certified Professional Organizer®
Certified Professional Organizer
in Chronic Disorganization®
Linda
Goldfarb has had a 25+ year career as an Executive Assistant and
Office Manager with a large New York City-based corporation. A
key element of Linda’s work included the development of
practical systems to get things accomplished in timely and
economical ways.
The idea
for an organizing business came about after Linda was asked to
help a Long Island-based, non-profit animal rescue group set up a workable
filing system. Taking documents from as far back as the early
1980’s, Linda designed and established a system that provided
easy retrieval.
Once word
got out, Linda was asked by several people to help them “put
things together” in their homes and offices. It was obvious
that this type of service was needed and wanted by many!
Today, with
so many people having extremely long workdays and commuting
times, these services can be a valuable commodity. Families,
often separated by distance, will also appreciate the unique way
Linda handles the special needs of seniors and those coping with
serious illness.
Linda is a
member of NAPO –
National Association of Professional
Organizers. This is a non-profit professional
association whose members include organizing consultants,
speakers, trainers, authors, and manufacturers of organizing
products. Linda is currently serving as the Coordinator of
the Neighborhood Groups for the NAPO's New York Chapter.
Previously, Linda served as Editor of the chapter's Newsletter.
In 2002, Linda was recognized and honored by being awarded the
President's Award for outstanding contribution to the Chapter.
She is also a member of POLI –
Professional Organizers of Long Island –
which is a local Neighborhood Study Group.
-
Linda is
extremely proud to be a member of the NSGCD –
The National Study Group on Chronic
Disorganization. The role of this group is to
explore, create, and disseminate to professional organizers and
related professionals organizing methods, techniques,
approaches, and solutions that will benefit chronically
disorganized individuals -- those people who have been
disorganized most of their lives, have made and failed at
previous attempts to get organized, and whose disorganization
affects their lives on a daily basis.
